Grandpa Rattle is a minor character in Fallout: Equestria.
Background[]
Grandpa Rattle is a unicorn stallion and former scribe living in Arbu when Littlepip arrives. Although he appears senile during the day, Grandpa Rattle's mind is fully active during the night. He tries on multiple occasions to get Littlepip and the others to leave, but is ignored due to his misunderstood state of mind. He finally convinces Littlepip that he is not crazy and reveals the town's dark secret to her, prompting her massacre of the townsponies. Afterwards, Grandpa Rattle is escorted to Friendship City along with the remaining foals and is later interviewed by DJ Pon3 about what really happened at Arbu.
Behind the Scenes[]
Grandpa Rattle is a reference to Old Man Harris in Fallout 3, the seemingly crazy old man who warns the player of Andale's cannibalism.
