Terminals were a technological advancement in wartime Equestria. These devices allowed networked communication, data storage, and the capacity to unlock connected doors and safes as well as control and disable several types of security measures in sensitive locations. Though a product of Stable-Tec, and privy to the incredible longevity of the company's manufacturing prowess, most terminals were rendered useless by the megaspell events of the Last Day -- although a small percentage of terminals produced late in the war were hardened against the effects of a megaspell. The screens on Stable-Tec terminals, when functional, are monochrome green.
Certain terminals are designed to accomodate different types of users. For instance, there are many terminals that have cloud-based user interfaces that can only be interacted with by pegasi, griffins, or ponies that have been affected by the cloud-walking spell.
