The Ministry of Arcane Sciences Canterlot Hub was the headquarters for the MoAS located along the Ministry Walk in Canterlot, coordinating the ministry's operations across all its other hubs. The outside of the dark, blue, stone building had a vaguely alicorn motif in honor of Princess Luna, and a wall encompassing the base of the building was made of smooth marble with silver inlays and embedded diamonds in the forms of constellations.
The headquarters was home to several laboratories developing some of the most cutting-edge spells and arcano-technology in Equestria, with development led by the unicorn twins Gestalt and Mosaic. The building is also host to one of Twilight Sparkle's private libraries, with a talking owl-bot assistant named Wordsworth, autonomous healing booths, spell testing and development labs, megaspell casting chambers, Mosaic and Gestalt's directors office, and the Arcane Technologies research labs. The basement of the building contained prisoner cells, kitchens, ministry security rooms, high-security storage, and the highly secure Alpha Technologies laboratories.
The building also featured many magical security defenses. Security protocols of the hub caused visitors and staff to be teleported to safe areas while intruders were teleported to secure containment areas during a lockdown. During this teleportation, foreign objects with trace amounts of toxins were teleported to sanitation. Retrieval of these objects could be requested after sanitation was complete. Additionally, the halls of the building were equipped magical traps and magical energy turret defenses.
